Harnessing the Power of the Sun

We are thrilled to announce that the Outreach Event Space, in partnership with Outreach International, is part of the Evergy Solar Subscription program. By utilizing solar energy from Evergy’s solar panels spread across the city, we can offset up to 50% of our energy usage. This means a significant reduction in our carbon emissions without the need for installing solar panels on our building. Since January of 2023, we’ve been offsetting 50% of our electric consumption. Our renters love the idea of hosting their events in a sustainable event venue powered by clean and renewable solar energy!

Sustainable Bathroom Supplies

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we’ve switched from regular toilet paper to bamboo toilet paper. We swapped our old rolls with a product from Who Gives a Crap, a company dedicated to making the world more eco-friendly. Their toilet paper is made from plastic-free, compostable materials, offering a planet-friendly alternative. Not only is it good for the environment, but 50% of Who Gives a Crap’s profits go toward supporting clean water and sanitation non-profit organizations. Our clients appreciate our choice, and together, we share the excitement for promoting eco-friendly bathrooms and a sustainable future.

Recycling for a Greener Tomorrow

At the Outreach Event Space, we prioritize recycling as an integral part of our sustainability efforts. We proudly recommend bartenders and caterers who are committed to recycling all glassware used during events. Additionally, we have recycling bins for glass, plastic, and paper products at all our events, ensuring proper waste separation. If you’re interested in composting for your event, we can connect you with organizations like KC Can Compost, a local nonprofit enterprise that diverts organic waste from landfills to compost while training formerly homeless men and women to overcome barriers to employment for work in green industry jobs. Together, we can reduce our environmental impact and foster a greener tomorrow.

All-Inclusive Rentals

As an all-inclusive venue, we provide bar height tables and stools, banquet tables, round tables, and white garden style chairs. By having these essential items readily available, we eliminate the need for rental companies to transport them. This reduces fuel consumption, minimizes environmental impact, and saves you money.
