There’s no more monumental event than your wedding day. It doesn’t matter if your budget is large or small, it’s such an important event, it needs to feel special. And at the Outreach Event Space, you can have the wedding and reception of your dreams. Even if you’re on a strict budget, this is the place for you.
First of all, just look at our rates. Of course, venue rental rates vary widely and depend on your number of guests. But, according to weddingsrule.com, as of the fall of 2022, the average cost of a wedding venue in Kansas City is $6,860. And some of the more popular venues start at $7,000 to $8,000, even before other expenses like catering and bar. And at some venues, that’s for as few as 50 guests.
The Outreach Event Space is currently available to rent for $4,500 for a full ten-hour weekend day. And we’re an even more affordable event venue on weekdays. You can host up to approximately 150 guests. Or, you could opt for a smaller, more intimate gathering in the same space. We don’t charge you more money to invite more people. You get the space for 10 hours, no matter how many guests attend.
You’re going to need tables and chairs. We currently have 150 chairs for you to use for no extra charge. We have three cocktail tables, also free. We have professional sound equipment for music and microphones. It’s all set up in the venue already, so why would we charge you to turn them on and use them? Not very many venues can say that. We have a full kitchen and two getting-ready suites for no extra charge.
We also have an open vendor policy. This means you can hire anyone you want as an insured caterer, a DJ, a licensed bartender, or whatever else you’d like. You can supply your own refreshment that you buy at a big box store. We welcome it. We don’t charge you per drink or to have another place setting. You get to invest where you’ll get the most satisfying return from our affordable event venue, whatever that means to you.
We certainly have vendor friends and can help you find all sorts of great services. We even have a preferred event planner. Just ask Sofi Melvin, of Philosofi Celebrations what she can do for you, and then you can decide if you want to make her expert event planning or coordination on the day of a part of your investment. Once you see the space and learn about all we have to offer and all that’s included, you’ll see what we offer is value.
We exist because Outreach International helps people all around the world find their own solutions to poverty. We train local experts, and they in turn teach community leaders how to make life better for everyone around them. Through this learning process, over time they need our guidance less and less. And eventually, they’re working with independence. That’s positive change that lasts for generations.
